Tiny cottage gets a big makeover

Tired. Dark. Cramped.

As Shaynna, Charlie and Andrew know, these three little words are guaranteed to turn off buyers, which was exactly what was happening to Chrissie and Tyson who have had their place on the market in Euroa, Victoria for 12 months with no takers.

The challenge
A very limited budget made it impossible to change the layout of the house, which was filled with a rabbit warren of small, dark rooms.

Creating a beautifully liveable lounge room
The old lounge room was cold and uninviting, but by simply painting a feature wall and modernising the furniture, Shaynna transformed this space. In combination with the new rich colour palette, our Corbelle pendant and Touch table lamp added a sense of opulence, while our Sullivan table lamp created a cosy corner by the fireplace.

Repurposing the sunroom
By raising the floor in the sunroom, Shaynna cleverly connected it with the kitchen and created an open living space. Originally used for storage, the statement style of our Corbelle pendant over the cosy chairs created a room buyers envisioned themselves spending lots of time in.

Bedroom bliss
Due to the limited budget, the three bedrooms were given a purely cosmetic makeover in the cottage, but Shaynna once again demonstrated how simple updates such as new lighting can instantly transform a room. Our Corbelle table lamps and Aria fan looked stunning in the master bedroom, while our Dream and Touch table lamps brought style and warmth to the children’s bedrooms.
